Privacy
Rope & Banana is a small app made by one person. This page says plainly what it stores and why.
What we store
- Your account — the email address you sign in with, or the private relay address Apple gives us if you use Hide My Email. We never see your Apple password.
- Your profile — the name and handle you choose.
- Your prints — the photos you post, with their captions, and when you posted them.
- Your crews — which crews you are in, your altitude, and the bananas and ropes you have left this hour.
- Notes and statuses — what you write, and who it was written to.
- Notification settings — your device's push token and time zone, so notifications arrive and stay quiet while you sleep.
What we do not store
- No location. The app never asks for it.
- No contacts. Crews are joined by invite code, not by scanning your address book.
- No analytics or tracking. There is no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software in the app.
Who can see your prints
Only the crews you are in, and only during the hour you posted. Nothing is public and nothing is searchable. There is no feed of strangers.
Who we share with
We do not sell or share your data. Three services handle it on our behalf:
- Supabase — stores the database and your photos.
- Apple — delivers push notifications to your device.
- Resend — sends the sign-in code to your email.
Reports and safety
If someone reports a print, it is hidden right away and we look at it. We keep a record of the report so repeat behaviour can be dealt with. Blocking someone hides their content from you both ways.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete my account. This removes your profile, prints, notes and crew memberships. It cannot be undone.
Children
Rope & Banana is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app.
